GEOMARINE CENTRE

GeoMarine Centre Ltd. is one of the first Bulgarian private consultancy companies founded immediately after the political changes in Eastern Europe that took place in 1989 as a result of which the transition to democratic political system and respectively to market economy started. Initially business activities of the company were oriented mainly towards consultancy and expert activities for some foreign oil companies, which carried out intense exploration works for oil and gas in the Bulgarian Black Sea Shelf in the period 1992 – 1995. These projects concentrated mainly in the field of marine ecology, marine geology and geotechnics were carried out by highly qualified experts employed in the company as well as associated experts from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Universities.
Subsequently the company extended the field of its operations and at present GeoMarine provides consultancy, expert and engineering activities in the following main areas:

-    Onshore and offshore environmental surveys;
-    Prospecting, exploration and Production of baesic metals and industrial minerals;
-    Expert services in the field of oil and gas exploration;
-    Engineering-geological (geotechnical) and hazard assessment surveys;
-    Hydro-geological surveys;
-    Cartographic services (in GIS environment).
-    Environmental consulting, environmental due diligence and audits, EIA, bankable ESIA, etc.

Scope of work: Elaboration of ESIA (with Appropriate Assessment Report for the affected by the project Natura 2000 sites) for the Project “Improving the navigation conditions in the common Bulgarian - Romanian sector of Danube River”
