GeoMarine Centre Ltd. is a private independent consultancy firm founded in 1991 by experts in the field of Earth sciences who had worked in the scientific research institutes of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
In 2000 GeoMarine Centre Ltd. together with several other private geological, geophysical and drilling companies established the joint venture company Consortium GeoComplex Ltd . In 2004 the University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilski” also joined the consortium. Based on the joint capabilities of its members/partners, Consortium GeoComplex is able to carry out independently or contribute as a partner to large-scale national and international projects. As a part of the Consortium, the GeoMarine Centre Ltd is responsible for consulting and other expert activities in the fields of industrial mineral exploration and production, environmental sciences, and protection, preservation and rehabilitation/restoration of the environment.
